Accessibility Statement

Our WCAG 2.1 AA target, known limits, and how to report a barrier.

Old Palm Pool Construction is committed to making oldpalmpoolconstruction.com usable by everyone, including people using assistive technology.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA standard. WCAG 2.1 AA is our target for new and updated content on this site.

What we aim to provide

  • Keyboard navigation throughout the site, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to main content" link on every page.
  • One main heading per page, with headings in a logical order.
  • Text alternatives for informative images, and decorative images marked so assistive technology can skip them.
  • Labeled form fields with clear error messages.
  • Respect for reduced-motion preferences: animation and motion are reduced when your device requests it.
  • Text and controls designed to be readable, with links and buttons that can be operated by keyboard.

Known limits

We are still working on the following, and they may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA:

  • Older gallery images: some older gallery images may have incomplete or generic alternative text. We are reviewing gallery alt text and updating it.
  • Third-party pages: links on this site go to third-party pages we do not control, including PebbleTec, National Pool Tile (NPT), and Pentair pages. Those pages may not meet the same accessibility standard, and we cannot fix them.
  • Social media pages: our Facebook and Instagram pages are hosted by third parties and may not meet the same standard.
